On Sept. 1, 2017, school districts will no longer receive Additional State Aid for Tax Reduction funds, ASATR for short, unless changes are made during this legislative session. Losing this funding will harm our district’s budget for hiring and retaining staff as well as student enrichment programs. *****Contact Texas legislators to let them know that school districts will suffer if ASATR funding is taken away.***** Texas State Senators Texas State Senate District 12--Senator Jane Nelson Capitol Office: CAP 1E.5 Capitol Phone: (512) 463-0112 Capitol Address: P.O.
