School Board Recognition Month Celebrated in January
Texans benefit every day from the tireless work and countless hours dedicated by a group of more than 7,300 men and women in communities across the state. Elected to serve by local constituents, these public servants receive no compensation for their efforts. These men and women are the school board members of Texas. January is School Board Recognition Month—an opportunity to thank these local leaders for devoting time to support public education and serve our local schools.
The Krum Middle School student council recently sponsored a canned food and toiletry drive from for Special Touch Ministries. Special Touch Ministries is a local organization which gives to families in need in the community. The drive was a huge success thanks to the generosity of our students and encouragement from our staff. It is estimated that Krum Middle School students and staff donated over 1800 items.
