  • As the weather is getting warmer and we try to stay cool, please remember the school’s dress code policy which can be found on pages 16-17 of the student handbook. The following are not acceptable: midriff blouses or shirts, halter tops or spaghetti strap tops, mesh-type shirts, mini-skirts, strapless dresses/tops, or anything see-through. Students’ stomachs may not be showing. Earrings are not acceptable for males. Temporary tattoos are not to be visible. Headgear is not to be worn in the building. No hair color or hairstyle that is unnatural and or distracting and no extreme hairstyles such as mohawks are allowed. As in other areas, the administration reserves the right to determine inappropriate dress that it feels is distractive to the school environment. If a student comes to school wearing clothes that violate the dress code, we will call the student’s parents and/or guardians to bring appropriate clothes to school so that the student may change. Thank you for your help!

  • DYER ELEMENTARY CLASSES GO DIGITAL FOR A DAY
"Digital Learning Day" Encourages Students and Community to Embrace New Learning Standards

Digital Learning Gone are the days of students tracing math problems on their desks in shaving cream or taking turns writing on chalk boards. Replacing them are tablet computers, digital slates, and interactive boards. In an age where everything from music to reading has gone digital, learning is no exception. One Krum ISD campus recently joined 39 states, 15,000 teachers, and nearly two million students in the nation’s first-ever Digital Learning Day campaign.
