DYER ELEMENTARY CLASSES GO DIGITAL FOR A DAY
"Digital Learning Day" Encourages Students and Community to Embrace New Learning Standards
Gone are the days of students tracing math problems on their desks in shaving cream or taking turns writing on chalk boards. Replacing them are tablet computers, digital slates, and interactive boards. In an age where everything from music to reading has gone digital, learning is no exception. One Krum ISD campus recently joined 39 states, 15,000 teachers, and nearly two million students in the nation’s first-ever Digital Learning Day campaign.
The topic of bullying has made recent headlines as tragic events and calls to action by several celebrities have brought the important issue into the national spotlight. Bullying is a problem that affects students every day. Krum ISD campus and district administrators are working together to provide a safe learning environment for our students and have provided online resources to learn more about what you can do to stop bullying in our schools.
Hattie Dyer Elementary School participated in Jump Rope for Heart during the month of February. Jump Rope for Heart raises money and awareness for the American Heart Association through student participation and donor pledges.
