Longtime former board member and board president Phil Enis was appointed by the sitting Krum ISD School Board to fill a vacant spot at the regular September meeting last night. Mr. Enis has sixteen years of experience serving on the Krum ISD School Board, thirteen of which he served in the role of board president. “I’m very excited to be working with Phil again,” said Interim Superintendent Mike Davis. Davis was originally hired while Enis was serving as board president, and the two worked together for five years. “The board really wanted someone with experience to fill the vacancy, and with Phil there’s going to be a very minimal learning curve, if any,” says Davis. Enis had applied for the May 2020 election ballot, however, the regular board election was moved to November 3rd in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “The board knew Phil wanted to serve again, and it seemed like the smartest choice for us right now,” finished Davis. The vacancy arose after the voluntary resignation of board member Scott Edwards in August.
Please join us in welcoming back Mr. Phil Enis to the Krum ISD School Board!
