Remote Learning Extended for KMS, KHS

September 14, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your support during the past 24 hours.  Krum ISD has been sanitizing all facilities including Krum High School, Krum Middle School, and the Krum ISD field house.

Today, September14, 2020, Krum ISD has become aware of possible additional cases of COVID-19 that impact Krum Middle School and Krum High School.  Please check the Krum ISD Active Cases Dashboard daily for updates on the exact number of confirmed cases on your child’s campus.

All Krum Middle School and Krum High School students will move to remote learning through September 25, 2020. Your child will need to access their classes through Google Classroom for instructions from their teacher on how to access Zoom for remote instructions. Students will return to campus on September 28, 2020, to resume in-person instruction. Those students who originally elected to participate in remote learning will continue learning at home. If your child tests positive for COVID 19, please notify the campus, and reentry dates will be established.

This change does not affect the EEC, Dyer, or Dodd campuses at this time.

Meals for remote learners are available for curbside pick-up at the EEC from 8:30-10:00 am and from 4:30-5:30 pm each school day.

Additionally, all football events during this time frame have been canceled. All KMS after school activities, including athletics, are canceled during this time frame. Krum High School volleyball, tennis, and cross country will continue as scheduled.

During this time, please remember to stay socially distanced from individuals who do not reside within your home. These actions are being taken by the district in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19 on the KMS and KHS campuses.

Please know that this decision was not made lightly, but we feel it is necessary in order to protect the health of all involved.

If you have any questions, please feel free to respond to this email. We will do our best to provide you with clear answers to your concerns.
