Krum ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, Lauren Hamilton, received a Region 11 Service Center Teacher of the Year Essay Award at their annual Teacher of the Year banquet on August 5, 2021.
Hamilton's award-winning essay was written on the impact she has made on the campus culture and community. She led the charge in writing the grant to provide the Little Lending Library outside of the EEC. Her essay illustrated the impact this lending library has had on reading and an excitement about books shared by students, her classroom, the campus, and the community.
