On June 8, 2022, Krum ISD updated local board policy FDA (LOCAL) regarding inter-district student transfers as follows:
A nonresident student wishing to transfer into the District shall file an application for transfer each school year with the Superintendent.
Portions of the policy outline conditions:
“In approving transfers, the Superintendent shall consider availability of space, instructional staff, student’s disciplinary history, academic records, and attendance record.”
“The superintendent may revoke a student transfer at any time during a school year for violating the terms of the agreement.”
Please understand that space is currently very limited. In fact, most grade levels are close to maximum capacity. As we construct new campuses and/or add to our existing campuses, more spaces may become available. Applications for transfer will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A possibility exists that a student would be approved for transfer, but placed on a waiting list.
