Krum ISD Names New Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education

At a special called meeting of the Krum ISD Board of Trustees on July 25, 2022, the board voted to approve the appointment of Sheila McCollum to Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, while simultaneously naming former Assistant Superintendent Nancy Shipley to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education.

This division of responsibilities will help Krum ISD provide a more intensive focus on providing quality education and instruction to students at every grade level.

A veteran educator of 32 years, Mrs. McCollum most recently served the students of Decatur ISD as the Career and Technical Education and Career, College and Military Readiness Director. Mrs. McCollum also recently served the Krum community as a member of the Bond Planning Committee at Krum ISD for the bond election that occurred this past May. An alumnus of the University of North Texas, she has her Master of Education, her Principal EC-12 Certification, and certifications in Mathematics 6-12 and ESL 1-12.

I am so excited to become a part of Krum ISD,” said Mrs. McCollum. “My family has been a part of Krum for many years, and to be able to serve the families of Krum in this new way is truly amazing!”

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. McCollum to Bobcat Nation!
