Foster Care Program

The foster care liaison supports students in foster care by facilitating the enrollment and transfer of records of students in the legal custody of DFPS when enrolling in or changing schools. The foster care liaison coordinates with campuses, the community and caregivers to promote and enhance the educational stability of students in foster care. Through the foster care liaison, students who are in foster care automatically qualify for services that include:

• free lunch
• school supplies
