District of Innovation

The Krum ISD Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on Dec 14th, 2016 in which a resolution was adopted to start the process of KISD being designated a District of Innovation.

This resolution is the first of many steps the district must take in order to complete the process of becoming a District of Innovation. This is an exciting opportunity for Krum ISD to implement and discover innovative ways to provide better education to our students. The District of Innovation designation will allow Krum ISD to consider specific innovations in curriculum, instruction, governance, parent and community involvement, school calendar, and a variety of other ideas.  For more information CLICK HERE to view the Texas Education Agency's District of Innovation general information.

The Krum ISD District of Innovation Committee consists of parents, teachers, administrators, and community members.  If you would like to serve on the committee, please contact your campus principal or call the Administration office at 940-482-6000.

The Krum ISD District of Innovation Committee and KISD Administration have worked hard over the past several weeks to construct the DOI plan for our district.  The plan will be the subject of a public hearing on April 12, 2017 in the KISD Board Room at 6 p.m.  Click below for the full District of Innovation Plan for Krum ISD.
