(20 U.S.C. 6311(h)(2)(E)) requires a school district to post its annual federal report card on its website.

Annual Financial Report of Debt Obligation

Local Government Code, §140.008(c-d) requires a school district to continuously post on its website the annual financial report of debt obligation until a new annual report is issued. Allows a school district to post a link to the comptroller’s website if the information was provided to the comptroller in lieu of preparing an annual financial report.

Annual Notice of Programs Available to Earn College Credit

Texas Education Code 28.010(b) allows a district to post on their website instead of other methods of notification to parents of each student enrolled in grade 9 or above the Annual Notice of Programs Available to Earn College Credit.

Texas Education Code 38.0025(a) requires a school district to provide information relating to bacterial meningitis to parents and students each school year.

ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application- Notice of Intent to Apply, Review for Public Comment

Krum ISD announces its intent to make application for federal funds appropriated to the State of Texas for public education purposes under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The District requests public comment on the application and its tentative plans for use of the funds.

Ejection Appeal Process

Per 19 Texas Administrative Code § 103.1207, you may appeal an ejection from a District campus by filing a grievance under the following Board Policies: DGBA (LOCAL), FNG (LOCAL), or GF (LOCAL) 

Family Engagement Plan 

Under 19 Administrative Code 102.1003 (e), a district shall make available on the district or campus website a family engagement plan to assist the district in achieving and maintaining high levels of family involvement and positive family attitudes toward education.

Fitness Gram

Texas Education Code, 38.101 and 38.103, requires that the fitness levels of all students in grades 3-12 be assessed at least once annually and that school district submit the results to the Texas Education Agency each school year. The TEA identified FITNESSGRAM as the assessment tool to be used by all school districts starting in the 2007-2008 school year. Parents may obtain a copy of their student(s) results at the end of the year by submitting a written request via email to dixie.knight@krumisd.net.

Guidelines for the Care of Students with Food Allergies At-Risk for Anaphylaxis

Texas Education Code 38.0151 requires school districts to make available a summary on the guidelines for caring for students with food allergies at risk for anaphylaxis and instructions for obtaining access to the complete guidelines document.

Texas Education Code 28.004(k) requires a school district to post online the number of school health advisory committee meetings during the preceding year.

Human Sexuality Instruction

Policy CQA (LEGAL) requires a district's website to contain a statement listing any curriculum materials in the public domain used for the district's human sexuality instruction and the link to where these materials are located.  Materials used in Krum ISD include:

Immunization Awareness

Education Code, §38.019(a) Requires a school district to prominently post in English and Spanish the immunizations required for public school, any immunizations or vaccines recommended for public school students, any health clinics that offer the influenza vaccine, and a link to the Department of State Health Services website where a person can learn about the procedures to claim an exemption from the immunization requirements.

Texas Education Code 11.159 (b); 19 Texas Admin. Code 61.1(j)  requires a school district to post the minutes of the last regular board meeting held before an election of trustees, and after the meeting minutes are approved by the board.

Notice of School Board Meetings

SB 1133 79th Legislature requires a school district to post notices of meetings of the school board on the school district’s website, if a website is maintained by, or for, the district and if a school district is located in whole or in part within the corporate boundaries of a municipality with a population of 48,000 or more.

The Internet posting is in addition to any other posting required. The validity of a notice or agenda is not affected by a failure to comply with a requirement under the new section that is due to a technical problem beyond the control of the school district. This language is in addition to the current requirement to post meeting notices on a bulletin board at a place convenient to the public in the central administrative office of the district.

Physical Activity Policies

Education Code, §28.004(k) Requires a school district to post on its website a statement of its physical activity policies for elementary, middle school, and junior high school students and statement of the number of times during the preceding year the health advisory council met, whether the district has adopted and enforces policies to ensure that campuses are complying with vending machine and food service guidelines, whether the district has adopted and enforces policies that penalize the use of tobacco products by students, and a statement providing notice to parents that they can request in writing their child’s physical fitness assessment results at the end of the school year.

Under Texas Education Code 28.004(k)(1), a district must have posted on their website mental health resources available at each campus, contact information for the nearest providers of essential public health services under Texas Health and Safety Code chapter 121, and contact information for the nearest local mental health authority.

Krum ISD offers career and technical education programs in all sixteen career clusters including: Agricultural Food and Natural Resources; Architecture and Construction; Arts, Audio Visual Technology and Communication; Business Management and Administration; Education and Training; Finance; Health Science; Hospitality and Tourism; Human Services; Information Technology; Law, Public Safety and Security; Manufacturing; Marketing, Sales, Services Science, Engineering, Technology, and Math; Transportation, Distribution and Logistics.  Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, class space availability, and application process.

19 Texas Administrative Code 109.001(o)(3)(B)(i) states that districts may opt to post the superintendent's employment contract on its website instead of publishing it in the annual financial management report. This information is contained within the FIRST Financial Management Reports.

Targeted Improvement Plan

Education Code, §39.106 (a-1), (e-1)(2)) Requires a campus intervention team to provide notice of a meeting to solicit input for the development of the targeted improvement plan on the website of the campus. Requires a school district to post the targeted improvement plan a board of trustees will consider prior to a hearing.
