Krum ISD Establishes Special Education Program

Members of the Denton County Special Education Co-op have made the collective decision to dissolve the Co-op and develop their own special education programs in-district. Population growth experienced in all the participating districts has positioned each district to support their own in-district program. Funds previously contributed to the Co‑op will remain in the district to support local programs and services.

Dyer Elementary’s 8th Annual Toy Drive Brings the Community Together

Dyer Elementary hosted its 8th Annual Toy Drive, a tradition that began when this year’s sophomores started it as 3rd graders. Unwrapped gifts for girls and boys, ages newborn to 18 years, were accepted throughout the month of November. Dyer Elementary is deeply grateful to the local businesses for their support and generous participation in the toy drive.

Carolyn Brown Inspires Dyer Elementary Students and Parents with Important Lessons on Kindness and Bullying

Dyer Elementary recently welcomed special guest Carolyn Brown, thanks to the generous support of the Krum ISD Education Foundation. Carolyn engaged students in an interactive presentation focused on understanding the difference between rudeness, meanness, and bullying—and how to respond to each.
