School Named in Honor of Dedicated Educator
On April 28, 2024, Krum Independent School District proudly announced the naming of its new PK-5 campus in honor of Dixie Hansel, a dedicated educator who devoted 37 years to teaching within the district.
Mrs. Hansel’s remarkable career spanned Kindergarten through Third Grade, as well as ESL instruction, touching the lives of three generations of families in the Krum community. Her commitment to nurturing young learners and fostering growth has left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire.
“We are deeply honored to carry on DIxie Hansel’s name as we embark on this exciting new chapter as a PK-5 campus,” said Lyndi Stupka, Principal. “Her impact on our district and community is immeasurable, and naming the school after her is a fitting tribute to her lifelong dedication.”
Dixie Hansel remains a cherished member of the Krum community, continuing to inspire through her enduring connection to the families and students she has served.
The new Dixie Hansel Elementary School stands as a testament to the power of passionate educators and the lasting influence they have on generations.
