Carolyn Brown Inspires Dyer Elementary Students and Parents with Important Lessons on Kindness and Bullying

Dyer Elementary recently welcomed special guest Carolyn Brown, thanks to the generous support of the Krum ISD Education Foundation. Carolyn engaged students in an interactive presentation focused on understanding the difference between rudeness, meanness, and bullying—and how to respond to each.

During her visit, Carolyn emphasized the importance of the “see something, say something” approach. She encouraged students to use their voices and kindness to support friends and stand up for what is right. Her empowering message reminded students that they often hold the power to make a positive difference in their school community.

Later that evening, Carolyn returned to share her valuable insights with parents, fostering a unified approach between home and school to promote respect and kindness.

Special thanks go to Officer Chandler and Mrs. Hendrix for writing the grant that made this meaningful presentation possible. Their efforts helped bring a powerful lesson to Dyer Elementary that will resonate with the students and families for a long time to come.
