Dyer Elementary’s 8th Annual Toy Drive Brings the Community Together

Dyer Elementary hosted its 8th Annual Toy Drive, a tradition that began when this year’s sophomores started it as 3rd graders. At this time, the school has collected over 770 toys, and donations are still coming in.

Unwrapped gifts for girls and boys, ages newborn to 18 years, were accepted throughout the month of November. Donations were dropped off at these local businesses:

  • Spencer's Auto Repair
  • Krum Dental
  • Krum Veterinary
  • C&G Electric
  • Joy Grace & Co.
  • Trudy's Tacos
  • Krum Clips Salon
  • Sonic
  • Krum Family Health Care
  • Eclipse Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling Academy

Collecting businesses participated in the massive toy drop-off at Dyer Elementary on December 3. The 3rd grade safety patrol unloaded toys from cars, trucks and trailers and transported them to the gift room where they are being sorted and packaged for delivery.

Dyer Elementary is deeply grateful to the local businesses for their support and generous participation in the toy drive. “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our Dyer families, community members, and local businesses,” said Macy Faught, school principal. “Our annual Toy Drive is one of the most meaningful and impactful efforts we coordinate each year. Many families must prioritize essential needs such as clothing and shoes, which can make providing toys during the holidays a challenge.

“Each year when our local businesses come to the school to deliver donated toys, we are truly overwhelmed by their generosity. The outpouring of support was a powerful reminder of how much our community cares for one another and for the children of Krum. We hope these gifts help ease the burden for families during the holiday season, allowing them to focus on creating joyful, memorable moments together. Thank you to our local businesses and everyone who helped make the holidays brighter for our students and families,” Macy Faught added.
