School Closing Information

Krum ISD considers the safety of students and employees across the district when making decisions about the school day. Administrators closely monitor weather predictions, consult with neighboring districts, and our transportation director in order to make the best decision possible with the information available. 

If for any reason Krum ISD must close school buildings or delay the start of school due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances (e.g. a power outage), parents and guardians will receive an ALERT through ParentSquare. Alerts are sent as a phone call, text message and/or email, depending on how you have set your communication preferences in ParentSquare.

A website announcement will also be set to pop up when you visit Krumisd.net, and the information will be posted on the district's Facebook page.

Krum ISD will only inform families of delayed opening times or school cancellations. If NO information is provided from the district, our school buildings will be open to students and staff at their regularly scheduled times.

The following news channels, will also be notified of the closure, but be aware the district has no control over the publishing of the notifications.
