Academics

Krum ISD offers a 2-way bilingual education for pre-k through fifth grade in our Dual Language Program. We are a Google Apps for Education District and extremely proud to provide 1-to-1 technology for all secondary students. Through our partnerships with higher education institutions, students at Krum High School have numerous options for earning college credit throughout their high school career. Krum High School also offers many Career and Technical Education programs.

Athletics and Extracurricular Activities

Krum ISD is home to numerous athletics and extracurricular activities. At Krum Middle School and Krum High School, student-athletes can participate in football, cheerleading basketball, track, cross country, volleyball, tennis, baseball, softball, golf, and powerlifting. Students that are interested in the arts have the option to participate in the award-winning choir, band, color guard, and theater. KHS and KMS also offer several student interest clubs, such as Student Council, FCCLA, FFA, NHS, and UIL. Our elementary campuses, offer a variety of student interest clubs such as Run Club and a Minecraft Writing Club in addition to their own chapters of the NEHS.

Community

The rural, small-town feel of Krum creates a close-knit community that joins together to support Krum ISD students! Members of the community show their support and dedication to student success by volunteering on campus, presenting at elementary Career Days, and attending athletic events and fine arts performances. The collaborative atmosphere teaches students the meaning of community while inspiring them to be difference makers and leaders. Students give back to the community by leading community initiatives such as the Dyer Safety Patrol Toy Drive, NEHS Animal Shelter Drive, Dodd City Wide Clean-Up, and Annual Veterans Day of Remembrance Program.

Krum ISD is proud to be supported by the non-profit organization the Krum ISD Education Foundation. The foundation donates raised funds to support learning initiatives for students and staff.

Growing to Serve Krum

Over the last 20 years, the City of Krum and Krum ISD have grown significantly. Krum ISD has expanded from serving less than 850 students in the 1991-1992 school year, to serving over 2,100 students in the 2020-2021 school year. With many new housing developments under construction in the district, continued growth is expected for the next several years.
