Transferring to Krum ISD
Transfer applications for the 2026-27 school year will be available beginning June 1, 2026. Preference will be given to students who submit complete applications by June 11, 2026.
Transfer Procedures for 2026-2027
All transfers are contingent upon space availability and may be subject to change if enrollment increases.
- Siblings of Students in Specialized Programs:
- Parents of siblings in specialized programs (Life Skills, STEP, or CABS) may request the intradistrict/interdistrict transfer paperwork for their children.
- Preference may be given to siblings in specialized programs, but they must still go through the principal approval process based on space and availability.
- Siblings are not required to attend the same campus, but parents can request it.
- Existing Transfers:
- Current transfer students must reapply by the end of the school year by completing the transfer application renewal form sent through email and a google form.
- A notice will be sent to all transfer students, reminding them to reapply with a link from the campus.
- Approval will be contingent on space availability.
- New Student Transfers:
- New student transfer paperwork will be available online starting June 1, 2026.
- Completed paperwork can be submitted in person by June 11, 2026.
- Electronic copies will not be accepted.
- Upon receiving complete transfer paperwork, staff should date and timestamp the receipt and have the parent initial next to it. A designated space for this will be included on the form.
- Transfer Student Updates:
- Transfer student information will not be updated in Aeries until after July 20th, 2026, when notifications may be sent to parents. This timing allows for the evaluation of new student registrations and class sizes.
- All transfers are subject to space availability and may change if enrollment increases. If class sizes necessitate adjustments, transfers may be revoked to prioritize students entitled to attend Krum ISD.
